United Hands of Hope Inc is an organisation that supplies various community outreach services on the Gold Coast. The organisation was created at the beginning of 2018 by Wendy Green and is supported by volunteers of all ages throughout the Gold coast and other cities. Our group of volunteers include individuals from all different walks of life; who have come together for a shared purpose. Our aim is to unite the community in assisting those in need; by facilitating a support between organisations that can assist and individuals in need of assistance. This aim gives meaning to our name UNITED hands of hope or UHOH for short.

The members of UHOH facilitate community support in several ways.

Source comfort items and food to be distributed to members of the community in need.

Organise social meet up’s in the community for fellowship and interactions.

Actively source crisis support information for referrals.

United Hands of Hope works alongside numerous different churches in offering support with functions and social gatherings.

United Hands of Hope organise a weekly feed and social gathering at Cascade Gardens in Surfers Paradise every Saturday evening between 4 and 6 PM. At this meet up we provide a variety of hot meals and hot/cold beverages. Also available at this meet up when possible is free supplies of clothes, hygiene

items, non-perishable food, and various food items. At all times we will attempt to bring adequate supplies that have been either purchased or supplied via donations. If you want to help support our community feeds please contact us for more information. At this meet up we encourage an environment that allows for members of the community to engage in fellowship and social interactions.

United hands of Hope members at all times want to be able to provide and individual with the support they require during crisis/stressful times. Therefore, we have created an inventory of crisis service information for referrals when requested. The crisis service referrals can include information regarding housing support, food supply, government support, rehabilitation information or community service information. If you have a service or support organisation you wish to supply your details for please contact us.

We have several projects to assist UHOH with supplying individuals within the community with needed items. Donations are always welcomed, whether it is unwanted furniture, second hand clothes, food, or financial support. We can always find a home for these items as we have several ongoing areas and community locations we support. Below are our focused projects that we are passionate about.

“The Table”

Sourced items including hygiene items, food, clothes, reading material, etc. are brought down to our feed in Cascade Gardens in surfers paradise and put out on our table. More specifically these items may include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, soups, biscuits, jackets, socks, shoes, etc. This allows for members of the community to take the items they need with no cost associated. At all times we will attempt to bring adequate supplies that have been either purchased by our team or supplied via donations.

Future projects.

Employment and skill training

In the near future we hope to be able to provide individuals skill training including hospitality, administration, telecommunications etc. We are passionate about helping individuals in all situations to overcome limitations and strive for progress.

Currently we are offering experience with cooking and meal preparations for those interested.

We provide support and guidance to those in the community by uniting businesses and community members in making a change.
