From Europe to Africa

This strategy is already coming to life. A consignment of medical supplies and equipment is currently being prepared in France, destined for health facilities in the Central African Republic, where access to essential healthcare remains a daily challenge.

At the same time, in Yaounde, Cameroon, UHOH is supporting the construction and operationalization of a 60-bed polyclinic polyclinic (Santa Lucia Health Foundation Clinic) designed as a Centre of Excellence. This facility will serve not only patients, but also as a hands-on training hub where healthcare professionals from public and private institutions can gain practical experience in key interventions—laboratory services, gynaecology and obstetrics, surgery, and more.

This triple approach—strengthening infrastructure, strengthening of human resources capacity while expanding access through vouchers—creates a powerful, sustainable model for health system reinforcement.
