Child Welfare & Humanitarian Support
Organized by Dr. Marrietta Reformado, UHOH’s Humanitarian Director, this mission focused on visiting a children’s orphanage that serves as a safe haven for vulnerable children from infancy to 18 years old. The visit aimed to assess their living conditions, understand their current needs, and deliver direct humanitarian aid.
The orphanage accommodates children of all ages from infants to teenagers preparing for national exams. Most of the children have no known relatives or guardians and rely entirely on the orphanage for food, shelter, education, and care.
UHOH provided a generous food donation to support the orphanage’s meal programs. The contribution was led by Dr.
Harrisson Gilbert, UHOH’s CEO, who personally donated food supplies and essential toiletries to ease the daily
burden on the caregivers and ensure that the children are nourished and properly cared for. The aid was delivered with
compassion, reaffirming UHOH’s mission to uplift vulnerable children through both material support and emotional
encouragement.
During the visit, the orphanage’s leadership shared several pressing concerns:
